What is the format of the assessment?
- You will take the assessment online using a computer with a web browser.
- There are two parts to the assessment. Part 1 will have about 12 items worth 20 points. Part 2 is worth 44 points.
What types of questions are on the assessment?
- Questions include multiple choice, enhanced selected response (multiple correct answers), and constructed response (graphic response and text entry).
- A graphic-response question requires you to move objects using a computer mouse to answer the question. This type of question may have a map, chart or graph, picture, or a diagram in which you position the objects correctly.
- Evidence-based sets require you to work with primary source materials to show deep understanding of social studies topics. The questions in these sets will assess a range of skills and content in the content statements.
