About Ohio Test Prep.com
Since 2005, Ohio Test Prep.com has helped prepare students throughout the state for Ohio Graduation Test in Social Studies through benchmark-aligned video tutorials, interactive review games and practice assessments. The activities here are designed primarily for review purposes, rather than front-line instruction. However, the resources may also be useful in classes using online instruction, blended learning or flipped classroom models.
We are now in the process of retooling our site in preparation for the transition to Ohio's Next Generation Summative Assessments in Grades 4, 6, High School American History and High School American Government. Resources for these new assessments will be accessible using the tabs above.
A Closer Look at Ohio Social Studies Summative Assessments
Ohio will develop assessments for social studies for an online administration to complement the computer-based PARCC assessments. For more information about the transition to Ohio's Next Generation Assessments for Social Studies, visit the Ohio Department of Education's webpage for State Developed Assessments – Science and Social Studies.
The passage of H.B. 487 established new graduation requirements. Students entering their second year of high school after July 1, 2014 will be the last class (2017) held to the Ohio Graduation Tests. Students entering as freshman for the first time after July 1, 2014 will be held to the new end-of-course assessments.
